Today, I didn't pay attention during my Culture and Human Development Lecture. I've been doing a lot of thinking about Jonathan and I. Sorry if I'm starting to sound boring.. oh well, whatever. I'm in love! This is what I wrote in my notebook:
1997
-May - When I first noticed Jonathan. Katherine pulled me aside in the girl's bathroom to tell me that I would look really cute with her friend: "that Jonathan guy."
-Jun - I start noticing him more: face, shoes, hair, etc. and the crush begins!
-Jul - too bad I didn't get to see him or talk to him throughout the whole summer, so I kinda stopped thinking about him.
-Aug - I notice him more, especially since he was a big bad 8th grader now!
-Sep - I think we start talking online and stuff around this time?
-Oct - our first dance on Halloween. We didn't say 2 words to each other.
-Nov - nada
-Dec - we talk more (online.. haha) and I wish him a Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, and Happy New Year!
1998
-Jan - he ignores me more!
-Feb - I expected him to ask me to dance during our vday dance, but does he? no! I decided that I was going to stop liking him!
-Mar - Jonathan and Joel begin prank calling. This was the month when 3-way calling was free! They wish me a happy birthday. Nicole S. gives Jonathan an invitation to my party, but he throws it on the ground! I guess she thought she was messing around =(
-Apr - We continue to like each other, but we don't talk anymore, even online! Just a few random moments when we would catch each other staring. also some prank phone calls and prank "pages" on our pagers.
-May - I get a little sad becaue he was graduating soon.
-Jun - Katherine pulls me aside again, and we dance during the last song at his graduation dance! I was a server too, and got in trouble by Ms. Porter. A week later, we go to our 7th/8th grade trip to Raging Waters, Reztyleen tells him to call me. blah blah blah. He finally asks me to be his girlfriend! Our legacy officially began!
-Jul - our summer love continues and we still get to know each other. I think our first kiss happened during this month. Just a peck though!
-Aug - it wasn't just a summer love! Jonathan starts Mitty, and I am finally an 8th grader!
-Sep - more memories are made!
-Oct - and more! he goes to the 7th/8th grade Halloween dance to help the DJ, and we dance again!
-Nov - getting into the holidays!
-Dec - first Christmas, first New Year's. He baked me cookies!! You wanted me to go to your first winter ball at Mitty, but I couldn't bc I was only in 8th grade =(
1999
-Jan - more memories. movies. first real kiss.. so we took our time! good for us!
-Feb - our first valentine's day as a couple! yay!
-Mar - we take more pictures during my bday party at home!
-Apr - more memories
-May - and more
-Jun - and I finally graduate from MHT! You give me sunflowers =)It was also our 1 year anniversary this month!
-Jul - more movies and talking on the phone for us!
-Aug - and more!
-Sep - high school begins for me! Our first ND mixer whoop whoop!

-Nov - and more. but this was a tough time for me-parents divorce!
-Dec - our first formal together! MY winter ball! GREAT NIGHT! More of the holidays.. yay! I think it was during this year when you and Gerard walked over to my aunt's house just to wish me a happy new year's. You sweetie pie!
2000
-Jan - a new year together. you help me with more drama. I was even paranoid that we wouldn't have a new year bc there were those rumors that 2000 was the end of the world!
-Feb - you give me the best and most thoughtful valentine's gift! More first moments together!
-Mar - my birthday! I cried because you were on retreat and you were late to my party at Cunningham park!
-Apr - more memories
-May - probably more mixers
-Jun - summer finally ends and we celebrate our 2 year anniversary!
-Jul - more endless conversations on the phone and trips to the movies with my mother as the driver =)
-Aug - another summer ends and another school year begins
-Sep - more ND mixers!
-Oct - some problems start to arise...
-Nov - MHT retreat.. we fix our problems. But then I start having my doubts again.
-Dec - We break up =( (our very first one, well we did break up once for 24 hours) but you still took me to your winter ball-- well after I told you that I wouldn't be ok with you taking someone else. Yeah, I was a brat, and I still am =) But that's what you love so much about me!
2001
-Jan - The holidays were lonely without you, and I kept trying to find excuses to call you.
-Feb - A lonely valentine's day for me.
-Mar - I have my sweet 16 at Embassy Suites. YOU COME! and you call my mommy, "mom" and I start to miss you. You even page me happy birthday. I wrote you a letter telling you how much I missed you, but you basically turn me down =(
-Apr - I start having crushes on other guys.. and get with a guy who wasn't you!
-May - I keep trying to get over you by crushing on other guys. I hoped that you would take me to your junior prom, but you didn't =(
-Jun - Getting to know other guys didn't work. I missed you like crazy! It would've been our 3 year anniversary =( However, I did see you at the big grad party the MHT grads had that year.. oh boy, every feeling went rushing to my heart!
-Jul - I still missed you
-Aug - I thought about you every now and then
-Sep - Finally an upperclassman at school, and I realized that you were a senior!
-Oct - more crushes on guys.. I also go to a million dances
-Nov - probably more useless crushes and more dances
-Dec - and more. but it was a lonely christmas. I thought about calling you since you were turning 18, but I was too chicken. I even thought about writing you a cute little poem too.
2002
-Jan - slowly started to get over you and I get with another guy
-Feb - no one ever came close to you
-Mar - no birthday party. my grandparents buy me a car, but all I wanted was for you to call me!
-Apr - lonelyyyy
-May - prom! I almost asked you to my prom, but again, I was scared. and I also heard rumors that you were "involved"
-Jun - I thought about you again because you were graduating!
-Jul - I don't think I thought about you once.. well maybe just once.
-Aug - Mommy and I are in the process of planning my cotillion. She spots you at church one day and asks you to be my escort! I was too scared and nervous, so I stayed in my car. embarassed as hell!
-Sep - We start talking again. You even called me once and I didn't even know it was you! I also became a SENIOR!
-Oct - more online convos. I think this is when I started my practices
-Nov - and more.. but at least we started to see each other during my practices.
-Dec - birthday wishes to you!
2003
-Jan - we still talk, but the convos in person and online become more flirtatious
-Feb - I finally grow some balls and HIT ON YOU on valentine's day! I actually cancel my cotillion bc of some other drama
-Mar - Back together at least!! That's all I wanted for my birthday!
-Apr - building more memories
-May - getting used to each others new lives. PROM!!!!!!
-Jun - celebrate our 5 year anniversary.. but not really. we celebrated in memory of it kinda
-Jul - summer was fuuun
-Aug - and we spend every waking moment together!
-Sep - you help me get ready for college!
-Oct - dorming was hard because I didn't see you as often. our trip down south and we get kicked out bc of something.
-Nov - but you picked me up, took me back, etc.. and I went home every weekend. I found something out this month, but we resolved it!
-Dec - we practically lived with each other since you slept over every weekend. A new year's eve together! and you turn 20! It was also the first time we kissed at midnight!
2004
-Jan - I go back to school and I get my first job. We start spending less time together =(
-Feb - another valentine's day, we get obsessed over Friends DVDs and we sleep at 5am watching the episodes every weekend
-Mar - my birthday in Washington DC and New York!
-Apr - spring semester and I lag like hell. 3 day weeks and 4 day weekends!
-May - I hardly spent time at school bc I was always with you
-Jun - another summer begins! 6th anniversary.
-Jul - lots of shopping, movies, etc. We also take summer school together! Our first time being in a class together! I found out that you were a lazy ass! just kidding.
-Aug - more shopping, movies, etc.
-Sep - school begins again!
-Oct - aww.. we get dressed up for Halloween for the first time TOGETHER.
-Nov - holidays. For some reason, we always fight during November! We started to seriously fight.. and there were doubts
-Dec - but we always overcome them because we know that petty fights don't matter! We see our first shooting star on Christmas eve. Another kiss at midnight. We both didn't countdown with our parents! and I watched you get drunk =)
2005
-Jan - another new year together. GREAT START
-Feb - now, and we are better than ever!

Valentine's Day 2005
So I was practically suffering the whole day, 6 hours to be exact, because that's how long it took for Jonathan to FINALLY answer his phone! I woke up at 740am, but I had to be out of the house by 8am to be on time for my politics class. So while I was in the shower, I thought how pointless it would be for me to be late for an hour and ten minute class in Santa Cruz, so intead of rushing to get ready, I showered for a good 20 minutes. Anyway, I called Jonathan to wish him a Happy Valentine's Day, but he didn't pick up. I assumed he was still sleeping. 9am rolled around, and I was worried because he had a class at 9! So I called, no answer. At around 11am, I called him again because that was the time he was supposed to be out.. NO ANSWER OR CALL BACK! So I called again at noon.. still no freakin answer! At 2pm, to my luck, HE FINALLY ANSWERED but said "I'll call you later.. bye." At this point, I'm already crying my eyes out because I thought my boyfriend was ignoring me for valentine's day!!!! Anyway, he finally showed up at my house and gave me a chocolate rose, balloons, card, and "valentine's day in a box." In the little box he put together, there were LOTS of reeses, hugs, and kisses, a DVD we could watch, some popcorn, and mac n cheese. It was such an adorable idea. We didn't end up watching the DVD, but he did cook me some mac n cheese. He was so adorable when he was making it, even though he made a FAT ASS mess in the kitchen! We spooned and watched TV, and I went with him to his 7pm class! hahaha. It was pretty cool actually. Afterwards, we went to Mercado and watched "Hitch" which was a very good movie by the way! The night finally ended with hugs and kisses! So there was no lavish dinner or anything or a big expensive gift, but I wasn't really looking for any of those anyway (that's what my birthday is for.. in 4 weeks!! hint hint).
Anyway, for you lovers and couples out there, how many of you know the history of Valentine's Day? Ok, well I'm not in the mood to share all that I know, but basically.. Back in the day, wayyy back in the day, Emperor Claudis II of Rome decided to ban all marriages because he decided that single men are better soldiers than husbands. So Saint Valentine decided to not listen and secretly conducted wedding ceremonies. People sent each other little treats because it wasn't right to show public displays of affection. Anyway, Saint Valentine was sentenced to death, and while in jail, he cured a girl of her blindness. She fell madly in love with him, but couldn't save him. On the night of Saint Valentine's execution, he managed to leave a little note for the girl that was signed "from your Valentine." Blah blah blah, more stuff happen, and the greeting card industry decides to get mucho involved!
On another note, I was a great daughter and sent my mommy red, pink, and white tulips. My sister also got a baby turtle from her Jonathan, and we named it Marble. It's really cute.

Valentine's Days go by fast...
Valentine's #1 (1998): You were already my crush for a longgggg time, 8 or 9 months I think? We were at our 7th/8th grade Valentine's dance (Feb 13th) and I spent the WHOLE time waiting for you to ask me to dance! Lisa told me that something GOOD was going to happen, but you chickened out! It's ok though, I still considered you my Valentine that year.. our first one =)
Valentine's #2 (1999): We watched a movie, "She's All That" I believe and all my friends went along. Lisa, Hansen, Jeremy, etc. Aw Mercado movies. I think I gave you candy hearts and a card?
Valentine's #3 (2000): I remember going shopping for your card and everything with Chrissie and I think Anne. It was a giant card from Spencer's, and I think I gave you some stuffed animals from Old Navy. One dog that held roses, and another one holding a heart that said "Be Mine"... I think?? Later that night, you dropped off your gift, a personalized CD you made for me with custom pictures and everything. I remember bringing it to school the next day to show all the girls and even my teachers!
Valentine's #4 (2001): We had just broke up, and I was dying to just call you and give you a present. Instead, Diana and I went to Jenna's house and cleaned her room. haha. John dropped by and gave her a Valentine's gift and I remember that I started to miss you a whole lot. You were still my valentine at heart.
Valentine's #5 (2002): It was my first Valentine's Day with my license. Some of the girls and I hung out with the Bell guys. We drove over to Bellarmine, and then went to Paul's house. Anyway, I still missed you that year.
Valentine's #6 (2003): We were on our way back to "us." On Feb 13th, you didn't have a ride home from work because your mom took the car. So I offered to pick you up and take you home since I was the only one you were talking to online. But in return, you had to bake me cookies! You ended up NOT doing that, but it's ok, you bought me a Frostee. The next day at school, I had butterflies in my stomach and I was jealous of all the girls getting flowers from their boyfriends! After driving Diana and Jenna around and helping with their surprises for Daryl and Villiard, I said "shoot, I want to surprise Jonathan too!" So I ended up buying you 23480234 balloons and chocolate and a lovely card. I was scared to actually come down and give you my surprise when you were at work, but Linn and Romel practically dragged me out of the car. That night, you picked me up, and we talked all night just catching up on the 2 years we lost. The next day, we hung out again, and I even stayed the night at your house! From that day on, we spent every waking moment together.. again!
Valentine's #7 (2004): You had work, so I was pretty bummed out. valentine's day even fell on a Saturday too! So I just said "f*ck it" and worked too. Well.. you made up for it! You got a room at your hotel, and had a candle lit dinner prepared for us with candles and everything! and on the floor, you had roses, rose petals, and more candles! The background music made it perfect.
Valentine's #8 (2005): TBA. Hopefully it will be another memorable one! (even if we are just at home in our PJs eating cookies or something)

My blogs haven't really been interesting lately. Well, if you haven't noticed already, school is taking up a lot of my time.. and work.. and family.. and the bf. I've also realized that my dear friends only know what's going on with me by reading my blog, and that makes me sad =(. So for now, I won't go so much into detail about what I do, so we can talk! Also, for the people I told, things are great now with my mom and that crap she was going through. Thanks again, friends! Perhaps I'll post pictures in my next entry. Until then, good bye!
